Trying bigger tires.
I got a sweet deal on some Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza Plus so tried a +1size setup as the roads here in México are horrible... Went with 265/60-18s.. Stock size is 255/55-18s. The tires look way bigger than they are but there is no clearance issues and the ride is much MUCH Improved under the war zone roads in Baja..
They fill the wheel wells so nicely no more 1ft long space between the tire and the fender.
Gotta try them in the corners now, But so far the ride will compensate for any performance loss.

So after 600 miles with them I can tell without a doubt there is no loss in handling performance! perhaps due to the extra 51PSI max inflation pressure there is not a lot of sidewall flex. I was expecting a little more of understeer when cornering but nope, I fill them to 44PSI. The ride comfort is much improved overall I love how it soaks cracks and pot holes with ease and I can drop them to 32PSI for even more comfort in the city.
Now there is some downsides.. There is a slight loss in acceleration performance, Does not feel any different once at speed you can overtake as good as stock.
Obviously with loss of acceleration it also hits MPGs.. I feel like I lost at the very minimum 1mpg in the city I noticed I cant hit my usual average as often, Highway remains similar with no apparent change.
Thats about it... I highly recommend the change if you want more traction, handling and comfort, I do not recommend the change if MPGs is your concern.
