Tire suggestion (2006 MDX)

it passed 42,000 miles. The OEM(Michelin Cross Terrain SUV) was OK but the local tire shop said it will be discontinued.

any suggestion for the tire?

I have 72K on my OEM Michelin Cross Terrains and thinking of replacing soon. They are still available at tirerack or tires.com. The tread pattern has been updated, but still the Cross Terrain.

I bought by '06 CPO and it came with Geotrax tires by the Chinese tire manufacturer "Nankang" I had to replace one of them because of a nail and Discount Tires tracked one down for about $100. Absolutely no complaints!

I love my Bridgestone Alenza's and have had no problem with them. We had them on my wife's 04 MDX and when the Michelin's wear out on the 2010, Bridgestones are going on!

FWIW, the Michelin Latitude Tour has the top spot in Tire Rack's user survey results in the "Crossover/SUV Touring All Season" category, with the Bridgestone Alenza in second:

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/surveyresults/surveydisplay.jsp?type=CSTAS

Tire Rack classifies the Michelin Cross Terrain in the "Highway All Season" category, where users ranked it 5th:

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/survey...y.jsp?type=HAS

Both of our MDX's are shod with Michelin's: the 2004 with Cross Terrain's and the 2010 with Latitude Tours - so far, no complaints on either.

I've got Yokohama Geolander HT/S on my 04. It's smooth and quiet but I haven't tested in snow. It was been good during rain season so no complaints from me.
