Seeking feedback on Acura remote starter
Just bought an '09 MDX Tech + Entertainment. We love it!
We had remote start system installed on our MDX. The system installed by the dealership is an AstroStart RSS-2514XR. I do trust the dealership as I've had a long and good relationship with the GM and service managers. I was surprised by the system installed as I was expecting an Acura remote start system. When I spoke with service and the new car manager, they said that they were surprised that my sales person did not share that information with me. They continued to say that the system installed is actually a better system.
I've started looking around and what I found seem to back the dealership's claim. Just thought I'd ask around here as well.
Thanks in advance!

I would talk to the sales manager and tell them your concerns of not being told it was an aftermarket system, and that you were under the impression it would be the OEM one. If you are unhappy with the current one, demand they switch it for the OEM one. The OEM one has a short range, but it adjusts the temp. down for your car if it's hot outside and temp up if it's cold outside. As well you wont run into any warranty issues.
If you are happy with the one you have, explain to them that you are trying to help them out so another customer doesn't come back and raise hell. If they are a good dealership, they would probably give you a free oil change or something.
