I'm looking to purchase an 07 MDX and would appreciate any owner insight.
The only reason I want the Tech package is for the premium audio. I Don't really care much about the NAV. Thoughts?

Every one I have seen has been way over priced. They do hold their value very well.

We've owned an '08 Tech for about 6-months now and the wife and I really like it, the most luxurious car we have ever owned. CR has rated it way up at the top, except for the latest '10 issue which puts the Lexus RXh at the top now. But hey, that model is a hybrid that gets an average 26mpg, and costs about $7k more, so not exactly apples to apples. And yes, resale value is very good, and safety rating is 5-star. The transmission is reported to be reliable, but maybe isn't as butter smooth and seamless as some. I can hear and feel it shift down as I slow the vehicle to city speeds, but otherwise seems very strong, especially on acceleration. Just needs a better set of tires from stock, though, and an '07 probably has a different set by now. At this point, can't say too much else yet except maybe it's a little fussy dealing with / learning all the buttons on the dash and steering wheel.

The NAV grows on you. I had a '04 and went to a '09 both had the good audio and nav and rear cameras. I saw the pricing and agree the value dealers try to get is a bit much. Walk in and buy the car than change your mind over the price. A few days later if not right then and there the price will go down. MDX's are gas hungry SUV's and stupid people are afraid to buy them making it a buyers market for used Acura's. My Daughter drives our '04 with under 50K on it and not a single scratch or ding inside or out. People think it is a new car. They are good cars for sure.

We picked up an 07 MDX Tech and Ent and the Mrs. says it's her favorite vehicle we have owned. The nav is one of the best on the market and if you haven't had one in the past, it will make you a convert.
