We got Acura MDX recently ( 2 days ago). We got the pre paid maintenance along with it. (including Dent Guard). Dealer fooled us with the numbers when we got this. We realized that the numbers were not right after coming home and quickly called them. We said we want to cancel the maintenance plan as we are not good with the amount associated with it. Dealer is saying it cannot be cancelled as the maintenance was attached to Car. We are working with the SALES person. He said he will check with Finance director on that. He still not responded to us. We heard that the maintenance can be cancelled but are not sure why the dealer was making this much fuss. He is saying it was included in the loan amount ..etc. Can any one help us how to deal with this...We are very upset and not able to enjoy our new MDX...Any help is appreciated...

Its a crock .. it all can be fixed. I would tell them

1) you are going to file a complaint with the BBB about thier dealership and dirty numbering

2) if you get the ACURA SURVEY that you are going to trash them because they are swines.

3) You will tell as many people as you can to avoid thier dealerships and pass your story along as a warning.

Thanks for you input. We mailed Finance director and owner directly and it got fixed in an hour....We are happy now....

Everything matters when buying a car from a dealer. Often a loan rate will be quoted and at the end it is up several percent. Guess who gets that money?

Wrap around protection is added to your car and the sales Guy circled your car with a pencil and said everything is covered. Most of the time it is. BUT they charge a diagnostic fee that can run into hundreds of dollars!

A new update for a Honda Civic was available. Simple plug in and down load the update. Pick the car up $196 in diagnostic fees. The dealers often play hard ball after the sale...
