Potentially buying 05 with trans fluid leak, worth getting?
As per the title of this post, we found a fairly low km rust free 05 that is at a stupid low asking price due to the trans leak. Is this pretty common issue with these? Just also would like to know if these are generally pretty reliable and what to look out for? We got an 04 TL last year and love it, but would like a crossover and thought this might be a steal if this isn't a total can of worms.

if the case is cracked and it's leaking through the crack...dont bother.
if it's leaking from the drain bolt...maybe a simple swap of the drain plug...
another cause of concern is...if leaking, has it ever ran dry? or ever gotten close to running dry?
when in good working order, these transmissions are very fickle..EVEN more so if there's a leak or something far worse...
if you're looking for a fun 2nd car project, sure...you might take on this project...
as far as a main reliable car, i'd probably look else where
