My passenger rear windows on 08 MDX does not work suddenly yesterday morning. I hear the clicking sound at the rear passenger window if I try to lower/roll the window up from the driver control but the window itself does not move. I was able to pull the door panel off. I tried to check the voltage but I don't see a voltage across any of the pins, which does not make sense. I hear the click means that there should be a voltage somewhere. Does anyone have a schematics for what the wire code means? I have attached a picture and I see, red, black, blue, purple, yellow and striped orange.
Does anyone have a suggestion to figure out where the problem is? It could be either the switch, door wire harness or the regulator.
I determined that my regulator is working fine. I also found this schematics in the forum. The wire color code is a little different. Is the red wire "hot" wire? The black looks like it is ground so I should get a voltage between the red and black if I have the ignition on.
Yes, I fixed it. There is a broken connection in the electrical harness, the gap between the door itself to the car chassis. See below for reference It has a black plastic casing that protects the electrical cables..I just resolder the broken wire. Hope this helps.
