P2647 code for 2007 Acura MDX
This code just popped up along with P77 for the AWD. I followed the procedure to get rid of the P77 and it went away. The code for P2647 stayed there. I followed the procedure for it to reset itself. And that was to turn the ignition switch to II while the engine is off. Wait 20 seconds to see if it will reset itself by the check engine light going off by itself. But if it blinks 5 times it would mean it didn't reset itself and I would need to take it to an Acura dealer. I waited past the 20 seconds and it did not go off. But it also didn't blink 5 times. So I turned it on and drove it home to let it sit. When I turned it off I thought I better get that P2647 code so I could search it out. When I turned the vehicle back on the check engine light was gone. But I'm afraid to drive it. Is it safe to drive?

P2647 = Short in the VTEC Solenoid circuit.
Reset the ECU by removing the ground cable of the battery for 10 seconds and replace it.. If code comes back there is an issue with your VTEC Solenoid.
