navigation update dvd question
Hi,
Is it best to buy the nav update cd from the acura website or is there another (cheaper) site to buy from? it appears to be $150 on acuras site for a 2011 mdx.
Thanks1

The disk usually start at $199 in the fall, $149 in the spring, and down to $99 by the summer. It is the same disks from the fall update Acura is trying to sell until the next Oct/Nov update (Acura only does an once a year Navi update disk). Since you have to provide your VIN, database version, and Navi unit ID and Acura provides you with an update disk with a passcode; I don't think you can get an update disk from any other source other than new from Acura?
I've got into the habit on only updating every 3rd year and waiting until the $99 price. Smartphone apps are getting better and faster if you can stand the mount/wire. Smartphones don't always work for me because cell coverage can have extremely limited/spotty data for hours on the hwy in the southwest.
