My Certified MDX has worn out tires. will Acura help?
Hi,
I am new to this forum.pls. excuse me if there are any mistakes. I recently bought a certified MDX on 4/29th(3 days ago) from an Acura dealer. after getting car home, yesterrday I checked tire tread with guage bought at autozone. tread is 4/32nds, 3/32nds. only one tire has 5/32nds. If I contact Acura, will I get any help with these tires? pls. suggestion. Thanks in advance. -ASB. |
and also just got one key. as it was late in night, dealer told his valet was closed and didn't had key. I am expecting packet in mail today. It has 2nd key and valet key. not sure what else it has. I am looking for service records, at least for certification service record.

tires are a wear and tear item.
the tires should have been addressed before you left the lot. |
Part of the cert should be tires less that 50% wear, and all keys and manuals.

Congrats on the new MDX! ....Maybe not so much on the tires, which dealer?

take it BACK. the tires should have been replaced (since less than 1/2 tread left) and you should have all the keys. question the sales guy on how the car could have been CPOd with the treadwear the way it is. take your gauge with you and measure it in front of him. get the sales manager or the GM involved if you have to to get this resolved. did you get the CPO check list when you purchased the car?

I work for a Honda dealer as a tech. They can buy you tires, take the car back or refund money, call Honda of america if they do not, Honda takes it's certfied used cars verry seriously they are extending the warranty to 100k they must give you a copy of the certified check list whene you sign all papers it will have tire measurements on it.
If you did not get those papers and signed them then you're car is not a certified used car and should have been much less $$ |
