Missing Song Titles on 2010 MDX HDD
Does anyone have a good way (other than manually) to update missing song title information for CDs that have been ripped to the HDD?
I've been told that there is not an updated version of the Gracenote Database available yet. The CDs that are missing information are not new or unique. You would think they would be in the Gracenote database.

I have also noticed this but I have no solution except manually editing. My Bose system used to use Gracenote and Bose sent a new database occasionally but I do not know how often the MDX database will be updated. The other problem is, Is it Free? It would be nice if it automatically downloaded via the AcuraLink.

There is an updated version, but I can not get it to load by USB key or CDR. Give it a try, maybe it will work for you...

Oops, guess it may not be me. They pulled it from the page and it says check back next week.

I downloaded an update dated May 2010 but didn't try it yet.
If they pulled it then maybe it was a bad update.
I tried about 10 CDs and it pulled them all up. Most were top sellers but many years ago. The odd one was more obscure.
Has anyone else noticed that HDD ripped playback sounds better than the USB MP3 playback. Or, maybe that's just the compromise of MP3 compression. They were 320 bit encoded files though.
The MDX sound system is one of the better ones I've owned but I do find it a bit too tinny/shrill a sound. I drop treble down by 2 and push the bass up a bit.
