MDX 1, Snow 0

Well, we talk about how great SH-AWD is in bad weather, I finally get to attest to the truth.

18" of snowfall here the last 2 days. Plows were called back to base due to blizzard conditions. I had to get out to check on the folks and neighbors. The X blew thru the snow like it wasn't there. Most roads I traveled had around 8-10 inches of unplowed snow. I could have a little fun taking corners fast but she would straighten back out before I lost any control. I'll try to post pictures later. I'm sure I can't be the only MDXer in Northern IL who appreciated their vehicle the last 2 days

Good you could move around. I also had some experience here in the northeast ran pretty well.

I live in the northern burbs of Chicago and I was totally impressed with the MDX in the snow. We drove back from a Super Bowl party on the worse road and blizzard conditions in years. 8"+ the whole way. Flawless and even running on Latitude HP. I could feel the SH-AWD doing its thing moving the power around in the deep snow and the TCS rarely even flashed. I was even able to drive through 12" of snow above the bottom of the doors to drag my snowmobile and trailer out of a 3' drift. Even playing in the deep snow and the TCS, I couldn't lose it for anything. Super impressed!

SH-AWD is great! Having decent tires helps as well and our stock Michelins only have 2k when we bought the CPO MDX last month. Here is what we've been dealing with in Boston!

Do you have OEM tires or snow? I felt the OEM tires did pretty good in fresh snow; but, started to slip/slide a little once it got wet and slushy.

Good luck and be safe out there guys... I'm fortunate to not have to deal with snow, but I do miss playing in it like I used to when I was a kid

Not sure if they're OEM - they're Good Year LS2 I think? We bought the car used last summer and the tires had great tread depth.
