Ignition Switch w/immobilizer

If I replace the ignition switch complete with immobilizer and key (from a salvage yeard), does it have to be reprogrammed at the dealer, or is it not necessary with the immobiliizer and key already paired?

You'll need to grab the ECU otherwise it'll need to be paired to the old ECU in the car with a computer.

Most of the time it's not the whole cylinder that's the issue, just the backside with sensor.
