I-015: Multi-information Display

Does the multi-information display show the external temperature on the 2010 MDX? Thanks.

Yes it does, but it's a pain finding it using the MID. This is the worst design of the MID I have seen in the Acura line up.

Actually not that hard to find. One of my initial gripes of the MDX was the myriad of buttons but they're actually logically placed. The button for the temp is the SEL button on the bottom right on the steering wheel. As I'm driving, I can hit that button w/o looking w/ my right thumb. It scrolls thru temp, trip a, trip b, & oil life. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, going off memory here. However, as my standard/regular display on the MID, I usually have the torque/power graph on top and the temp below.

You are 100% correct "if" the upper part of the MID is: 1) Blank 2) Showing the SH-AWD graph 3) Showing the tire pressures. Otherwise, you have to use the "i" (info) button to scroll up or down to find the blank screen and then proceed. Thank goodness for voice command. However, the MDX lacks a Trip Computer display in the navi screen like my RDXs did, and there is no instant mpg reading in the MID either. I guess the Honda/Acura engineers do not want us to see what lousy mileage we are getting. I love my '10 MDX Tech except for these MID quirks.

I agree that the MID is fairly poor with few options to display what you want without scrolling. It would have been nice to have a trip computer on the VGA like the RL that enables everything at a glance.
