Head bolt torque specs for 2010 J37 ?
I have spent 2 hours scouring the web, including this site, and cannot find ANY specs for torquing the head bolts on the 2010 MDX J37. I can find everything and more for all the previous engines, but not the J37. :run:
I don't have the service manual for this engine and don't have the time to buy one. Does anyone have the sequence and specs ? I have new bolts (12 point). Also, I could use the rocker bridge bolt specs as well. Thanks, Todd |
Hi Todd.
I have the specs for the 2007-2009, so pre-2010 models. I don't think they are different, as it's essentially the same engine, but just be aware these are for 2007-2009: 30 N*m or 22 lbf-ft Here's the whole procedure with sequence and torquing from the official service manual: https://i.postimg.cc/pLfHrpNS/titelless02.png Just to clarify: these are specs for the cylinder head bolts, not head cover bolts. Needless to say best course of actions is to use new bolts. |
Seems that 22lb + 90 + 90 (+ 90 new bolts only) is the ticket. I could only find '09 and older as well. Odd that no one has or shared the '10 newer specs
