Built an intake for my MDX

Decided to build an intake for my MDX since there isn't much of a market out there and I have the resources to do so at the shop. I can tell throttle response is a lot more crisp, maintains cruising speed with less pedal effort, and the sound when you're on it

Apologize for the crappy phone pics. I'll also end up powdercoating the pipe wrinkle black or sliver.

Next up on the list is a Y-pipe and high flow cat.

How did you modify the K&N filter to fix the MDX? I might be a little too soon to tell but have you noticed anything with the fuel economy?

Thanks

too close to the engine for me.

if its not drawing cold air from the bumper or fender, it aint really doing anything and the stock intake would be better.

Nice work! I'm also curious if there's any mpg improvement.

The new intake replaces the factory airbox and restrictive OEM filter. As for gas mileage I have not logged it. The car does hold cruising speed with less gas pedal effort.

The filter is placed right at the lower portion of the OEM air box where cold air is drawn in.

With the interest we have had, we decided to put this in to production. May offer a version to extend the filter into the bumper section if there is enough interest.
