Best way to play music in 2011 MDX ?

The choices are
XM
Harddrive
USB
IPOD
DVD-A

For me its the IPOD. I have not tried the USB, is it as good as the ipod ?
XM the sound quality is meh to me, and the harddrive takes too long to rip CD's onto it and most of my music is in MP3 format at this point.
DVD-A sounds best but the selection is so limited its almost pointless.
What about you guys ?

I'm usually XM, streaming bluetooth audio (iPhone music and internet radio stations), and USB flashdrive. Since we iTunes everything, I don't have a lot of CDs to rip on the hard drive. I like the USB flashdrive; but, folder organization/navigation is all a$$ backwards and next to impossible to find what you want (set USB stick for just random play in +500 folders). The USB flashdrive does sound the best to me (haven't tried my one DVD-A in the MDX yet). I never tried to connect my iPhone using the USB connection yet. We have a few artists on the hard drive; but, no enough to put it in the normal listening rotation.

Having something to listen to is not a problem compared to my TSX or RDX.

DVD - A is best sound, but limited selection.

I burn cd's from iTunes library and rip onto HDD, sound is very good, especially if you burn cd at a higher bit rate.

I bought 2 used 16gb ipod nanos specifically for my X's and run that 99% of the time in mine. I transfered most of my music to itunes over the years so I didnt feel a need to copy all that again to the hdd.

I used to just use my iPhone via USB cable, but lately I've picked up three DVD-A discs. Santana's Shalaman & Supernatural and just recently Metallica's "Black Album". All I can say is Enter Sandman's mix really stands out, especially with the guitar solo near the end. I've never heard the center channel push out that much sound at a decent level.

If you are able to find good DVD-As buy them!

DVD-A only. For $40 brand new it was a no brainer.
