Base MDX leather seems cheap?

I was inspecting the leather seats on my base 2011 MDX and they seem kinda cheap. I have my MDX in for warranty work to replace one of the seat covers due to defect and I noticed the leather all over the vehicle seems kinda loose and thin. I noticed 3 tiny raised dots (like if tiny water drops had dried on a sheet of paper) on my passenger side seat and the dealer which is fixing my drivers side seemed to think this was just leather being leather - as leather obviously has variations throughout. He seemed to think it was the hide and I kinda agree - kinda, but I can't get over the fact the leather feels kinda thin. The leather on the TSX seems much nicer.

Lower quality leather in the base and tech MDXs seems to be a common problem. Run a search in this forum and you will see many complaints. I've been trying to extend the life of my leather seats my adding leather cleaner and conditioner often. It helps if you have black leather cos the blemishes are not so obvious.

But the leather in my 5 year old RL feels better than the MDX leather. So you are right.

RL, ZDX, and MDX Advance have "Milano" leather and it the best Acura offers but all leather will wear out. Milano is top grain but Acura thin. Other models/trims are often split grade with vinyl coating. Stay Black for best wear and use caution on leather care conditioning products - warm water is often better, cheaper and less agressive on what is thin and coated. https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tsx-2009-2014-143/our-leather-vinyl-coated-815678/

Thanks for the input guys. Have you noticed these tiny dot-like blemishes in your MDXs or Acuras? Thankfully I do have a black interior so hopefully the leather will look better longer. I'll read through some of these threads.
