Air Mix Motor -blender
I have a chirping sound in the car. Everything points to a faulty air mix motor on he passenger side. I'm trying to figure out how to get to the part. Does anybody know how to in this generation MDX.

Welcome to the Forums..
Can you be more specific with the Year? because this Sub-Forum has both the 1st Gen (2001-2006) and 2nd Gen (2007-2013) in it.

Ok both Mix Motors are on the sides of the legs near the center console you cant see them if you are seating normally so:
If you are seating in the drivers seat the drivers mix motor is on your right knee, if you are in the passenger seat then its on your left knee just follow your knee height line of sight in that direction and you will find the Mix Motors attached to the AC box.

2007 MDX sport/ent. 123K miles. Skirmich, do you have the process regarding how to get to these Mix Motors, I think that I have seen the part location and removal process, but it may have been for the TL? The problem that I have is like a "marching" sound ( funny), like there is a vent door somewhere behind the center dash vents but the noise is more pronounced coming from the left vent of the two. I would give it a go to get the motor(s) out but it would be great to know the steps involved. Thanks Pete M.

There is a cover above your knees under the dash that must come out. Then there is a cover to the right of your right knee that is vertical that must come out. The air mix motor is behind that vertical cover, part of it is visible, attached with either 3 or 4 screws there will be an electrical connector to disconnect. Some people suggest taking out the driver seat to make it more convenient to get access. Disconnect the battery so as you do not trigger air bags. Make sure you have reactivation codes for Entertainment and NAV.
