Hi Everynone,
If I don't warm up my Acura MDX 2003 for about 3 minutes in the morning it will either stall as soon as I put it in gear, or stall at the parking garage door. Then it will run fine all day long until I start it next morning. When I start the car, the rpm is around 1000, then if put it immediately in gear (without warming it up) the rpm will drop to around 250 then the engine turns off. I read a couple of threads with the same exact problem but no solution (threads by dtms01, kyin01).
Has anyone run into this problem and had it solved?
I appreciate your help guys.

250 rpm in gear is too low.
Should be 650 in gear warmed up.
Something is wrong w engine if idle is too low.
Fuel mixture or air might be problem.
Need more data ...

Sounds like it could be an IAC valve going bad? If the your rpm goes up and down at times your idle air control valve could be the problem. May want to have your EGR system check also.

I had the same issue at around 70k miles. Turns out a valve adjustment fixed it----was too tight which meant the car had to warm up to normal operating temp to prevent stalls.
