2011 MDX Oil Consumption

We have a 2011 MDX that started going through a quart of oil every couple thousand miles after about 75K miles on the engine. All regular maintenance has been performed diligently. I've read elsewhere that this is a common issue but I have been unable to determine if there is a "fix" or just something that we now have to live with and be cognizant about. Would welcome any thoughts/solutions.

The official Acura "FIX" is to rebuild the block.

I am going through the same problem and after the warranty fix I am dipped into another problem. Engine Power loss. After the fix now it feels i am driving a 4-Cylinder engine. Look at the thread below.

May be its just my case but I have this issue and going to back to dealer to address it. Establishing this issue is much tedious than oil consumption.

If the car is burning 1Qt/1K mile Acura don't even consider it as a problem and will say its with in specs and will not address it. If you move towards oil consumption test make sure they don't over fill your car. I have seen after every oil change even during oil consumption test I saw my car dipstick was showing oil way above the full line after fresh oil change. I would say it had around an extra half quart in it. Which to me when we see oil on low end it has consumed 1.5Quarts already (if you your car is filled with extra oil too). So if you see this notify it to dealer right away else you would be within Specs.

Good luck.
