I am in the market for a used MDX, Dealer only has a 2009 and 2010. I would like a 2011 but would consider a 2010 if the price is right. Any big changes between these years? Any mechanical issues to look for? Thanks

Hey, I'm in the same boat sorta.. As far as I know the 2010 and 2011 are both pretty much identical, the 2009 only has a 5 speed transmission. the 2010+ has the new grill on the front, a minor change on the rear of the body as well and the 6 speed transmission. others here will tell you any other changes from 09 to 10... but 10 or 11 should be fairly good to go! from my research anyways.

I have a 2010 and I know the 2011s were very little changed from 2010.

Sorry for this late reply. My 2010 Tech/Ent has been relatively trouble free except there is a noticeable steering shudder when turning the wheel at parking speeds. Dealer noted when the car was 1 mth old and said all the MDXs were like that. And we had a few low battery warning lights go off but it was corrected via a software upgrade which was due to the threshold being set too high initially I am told. 33k miles and a satisfied owner.

I bought a 2010 MDX Elite 2 months ago, I love it. The only thing I don’tlike is that it has a louder idle then my wife’s RX.

I’m from Toronto Canada and paid $32K from an Acura dealer.
