2010 MDX Steering Wheel Wood Garnish...

I don't know if anybody can answer this but a customer recently purchased a new 2010 MDX Elite (Canadian for Advance) and he thinks that the new thick steering wheel is too slippery/big for what he's used to (2006 MDX was his previous vehicle).

Question: Does you guys have any insight as to whether the Wood Garnish Steering Wheel gives you a better grip and/or is it actually not as thick as the OEM Steering Wheel?

Any feedback would be much appreciated folks!

The wood wheel is a totally different feel. It is a rigid hard surface as opposed to a soft leather surface. I wont own a vehicle without one of these!!

I picked up a 2010 MDX a few nights ago and the first thing I noticed was the slippery steering wheel. Last night I purchased a black leatherette wheel cover (matches ebony interior) which provides a much better grip, doesn't look out of place, and cost only $12.99

I second the cover. As I drove down the typk I swung into a car store and grabbed a nice black leather wheel cover and warmed it up and slipped it onto my new stupid wood wheel. My hands cramped at the smaller diameter of the wood. The padded cover is perfect in winter as well as summer when it comes...
