Hi

My car ran into a dear and had to have the front fixed.

Thereafter, the car keeps beeping with the dashboard message light that says "Check charging system".

Battery checks out fine, car works fine, only that annoying beeping at various intervals while driving.

Mechanic could not "reproduce" the problem.

One odd thing possibly related to a possible faulty rewiring of the harness is that the car can start without the foot on the break pedal.

Several dealers confirmed that this is not normal.

Any idea?

The brake pedal has an adjustable sensor to detect when you put pressure on it. I would ask the dealer to check that.
