I never really payed attention since my MDX has the remote power hatch. Does anyone know if the interior is bulked up a bit more than the hatches w/o power?

I ordered a OEM cargo cover. When I ordered, it asked if my MDX had the RES or not. The option stated you have the "rear entertainment dvd system AND the remote power tailgate. " I figure since I didn't have both, I would just order the one for the MDX w/o RES. I got it and the cover is too wide. (the part you pull on and hook into the panels) It seems like the interior panels are bigger due to housing the eletric accuators for the hatch. Perhaps the option didn't have too much to do with the RES than the power hatch.

Any ideas? Thanks!

 

Just an FYI on this for anyone else that ever orders a cover down the road... RES has nothing to do with the fitment. It's all about the power hatch. So if you do get one, order the one that mentions the power hatch.
