I need to get a hitch for my 06 MDX. I will only be towing a single jetski (approximately 1200 pounds). I can install the hitch myself, without coolers, for about $150. Of course this means that I won't have the recommended coolers for towing. To have the dealer install the coolers and hitch they want $750.

My question is do I really need the PS and ATF coolers to tow 1200 pounds once in a while? Seems strange that I would be looking for input from the experts here.
