2001 MDX rear motor mount replacement
Has anyone replaced the rear motor mount on a 1G MDX? I could only find one
and I'm not sure if its 1G or not. There are lots of other videos but for 2 or 3G MDXs. I am trying to gauge where to start and what tips or tricks anyone figured out. If not, I suppose I'll document my adventure here for the next guy.

I need help. I removed the exhaust pipes which gave me easy access to the bottom three bolts (14mm socket) of the rear motor mount. But access to the head of big long bolt through the center is blocked by the low pressure P/S pump. I backout the bottom bolts about a 1/2" so I could raise the engine which was enough to allow me to get a socket (17mm) on the long bolt (this is extremely difficult) on the head. But there is not enough room to get good rachet access. I removed the air filter intake, moved bundles of wire, and tried a series of extensions from the top (again, a total PITA) with an impact wrench with no success:
So then I removed the driver side wheel and tried a series of extensions from the wheel well:
But I can't budge the bolt at all.
Any real mechanics out there with ideas?

OY! I have my half inch impact (1250 ftlb) with a series of extensions from the side (driver side wheel well) on the through bolt and wont budge!! Does anyone know if its common to have some kind locking plate and something that needs to be removed before the bolt can turn???

Update: I got the through bolt out using a breaker bar and pipe extension. Now I have to figure our how to the loose mount out. No way its coming out the top.....so I guess remove or just lower the subframe??? Or maybe remove the passenger side CV shaft? Any suggestions?

Success!!! I have the rear engine mount back on withOUT touching the sub-frame. Since I could not find one authoritative post on this specific vehicle I am going to create a new thread just for this to help the next guy. If you want to see the whole process I used, look for the threat titled "2001 MDX rear engine mount replacement without lowering the sub-frame" I'm closing this threat out.
