1st Gen MDX with 2nd Gen TL Type S rims.
Hey all, been around the forum to ask this question on different Acuras before but I'm highly considering a 2004 and up Acura MDX and I wanted to know would the Type S rims from the 03 TL would work with it? I know the bolt pattern is the same, but I believe the 04 MDXs came with TPMS standard? Not 100% sure if someone would clarify that, so would it be possible to get them to work with it? Just the stock rims on that gen MDX are kinda meh, unless I can find a part of the 5 spoke rims from the early 2 gens that might fit.
Yes I know its silly for a single guy considering a 7 passage crossover as his main car, but I do have alot of family and I rather have the room if I go visit or they come to visit me.

nothing is silly about the vehicles you choose! because it obviously functions as a family hauler in your case.
I believe the Government mandated TPMS in 2006. so cars before that date are not required to have it...thus the 2G TL never came equipped with TPMS.
however, you can throw in the MDX TPMS sensor into the TL wheels, so that the 2004 MDX TPMS warning light doesnt annoy the heck out of you

Oh wow, I didn't realize this got replies, and I wasn't talking about the Waffle rims, can't really stand those, I'm talking about the Type S rims, non a-spec.
Also glad to hear that they'll work, the MDX is one of the Acura's I am considering, next to a third Gen TL and later first gen RL.

2006 NBP TL MT6/ 02TL-S
Given the difference in size between the 2 vehicles, I would think there might be a difference in the offset between a wheel for a 2G TL and a 1G MDX
