For a $40k+ vehicle, the audio really lacks. I'm thinking of upgrading the speakers, I then suppose I would need a mufti-channel amp to power them as well. Wonder what other have done to improve sound quality. I am pretty set on not replacing the factory headunit.

The Audio in Tech {$45 K} and Advanced {$49 K) are quite stellar.
I would never have purchased a base and then add on to make it more.
Personally I think the Advanced is an exceptional buy when you consider all it adds
and what it would cost to build up a base.
However since you got the base ... Research the specs and equipment of the Advanced and then go to a third party sound dealer and have them try to emulate the Advanced.
Speakers and MC amp at the least but the Hard Drive Audio player is really Super Stellar.

I agree with that logic, however I didn't want to send an additional 10k. The nav is outdated, didn't care for the Ent so it was the base I went with. If Acura would sell everything the Advance has to offer minus those two items I would have bit. Perhaps one day Japanese auto manufactures will follow the Europeans with options.

I'm sure the audio is great in the Advance, but I'm also fairly certain the quality can be met or exceeded with aftermarket.
