08 MDX Seat Base front Up/Down NOT working

Hi ACURA Mdx community,

I recently bought a used 2008 MDX. While I was trying out seat adjustments, the seat base front UP/DOWN setting stopped working. All other seat settings work. The seat moves forward/backward, seat base back moves up and down. Recline works perfectly fine.

Now the seat base is locked in such an angle which is very uncomfortable to drive. When I use the front UP/DOWN switch, I hear a click and nothing happens. I Checked under dash Fuses. I couldn't find a separate fuse for seat base up/down setting. There are 2 driver seat fuses and both are fine.

Any help, suggestions/tips, guidance is appreciated.

Regards,
NEW2MDX

either the motor has broken or there is a issue with the wires that connect the motor not giving it power. Sadly the motor itself isn't sold by itself from acura so you would have to get it out of a crashed/totaled MDX or a used one. You could buy a new assembly for the seat but it's about $650.

Thanks for the response. I do hear a "click" sound from the seat when I operate the switch. So I am assuming switch/wiring works. Problem wit motor alignment or motor itself.

One more piece of info - This stopped working right after I got interior detailing where they scrubbed the seat hard for stains. Is there a way to check gear alignment or something went wrong during detailing ?? any thoughts ??

perhaps water got into the motor and shorted it, or shorted out the seat position computer which helps the motors operate.
