Youtube video screen capture of a worn variable vane actuator linkage pin. This is the pin the eye-bolt pivots on and this is the eye-bolt known for wear and the P2263 code. Eye bolt available, this linkage arm pin is not.

Over the counter parts, shoulder pin modified, two stainless steel ball bearings used, not shown a spacer and thrust washer.

New parts assembled and ready for install, threads of shoulder bolt were shorten some

Used a hand-held belt type sander to grind off rivet head. This type of tool ground off the rivet head in a short amount of time.

Finally got the rivetted pin shaft out of the linkage arm, this was the most challenging part of the repair. Still trying to think of a good method to get the shaft part of the pin out of the linkage arm.

In the rear of the engine and viewing from the left side look carefully at the eyebolt and pin for any gap between the eyebolt hole and the pin.

Worn eyebolt and pin, you can replace just the eyebolt if the pin is not badly worn but the pin is typically worn too.
