i was strongly considering it. But two issues:
1. I wanted the GT350, but really didn't want to spend 76k on a fucking mustang. Seems like a bad idea.
2. Every Tom, Dick and Harry has one. I was considering just a GT, but they're everywhere. I don't want my fun/weekend car to be the same one that 5000 people across the city drive on a daily basis. Just doesn't feel special. Even the GT350s are selling like hot cakes. I think Sherwood Ford sold around 50 of them.

There aren't many 370s out there to begin with. I was actually at the intersection of 142st and 111ave yesterday and saw another Nismo across the intersection from me. Rare sighting to have two in the same place.
also, another hate of mine for the mustang- it is super heavy. While the engin numbers ar great, there's no denying that 3850 pounds is a lot of material to move. My Nismo is no light puppy either, but it's at least 400 pounds less.
Took the car down groat road on Sunday... Holy shit....

haha I was gonna ask how it performs but if it's "holly shit" like performance on Groat road, I can only imagine. Any regrets getting rid of the Miata? Post some pics

Really they made the Mustang that heavy?!?! It's a 2 door coupe with manual and RWD, where is all the weight?

I have zero regrets getting rid of the Miata. At first I did. But not anymore. I liked that car... but I never loved it. I know Miatas get a ton of praise, but honestly, I think they're kind of crappy until you dump 10-15k into one. Mine was all done out by the previous owner, but I dunno... there was still something about it that I didn't love. The interior felt really cheap. Compared to an s2000, the s2k's interior is light years ahead in terms of styling and materials. Mine was fast, but I hated the exhaust sound... sounded like a souped up lawnmower. It wasn't a bad car, but again, if it didn't have 15k dropped in by the previous owner, it would've been slow, with meh handling at best and kind of a drab interior. I couldn't even take it to the track because with a helmet on, my head would stick past the roll bars.
The second I got into the Nismo, it just felt right. I should add- I've never really been a Nissan guy. I've always appreciated them, but would always choose a Honda over a Nissan, but these days, Honda just has nothing to offer and I'm kind of tired of owning FWD cars. I love the clutch feel on the Nismo. I love the shifter feel. I love the planted feeling of the car. I love the mild exhaust note (could be a bit louder, but I'm not complaining). I love how it can be pushed stupid hard through corners. Some of the interior materials could be better (they're not bad, but not great), but I do really like the interior styling. The exterior is super photogenic.
The beauty with FWD is that I've driven so many of them over the years, I know how to absolutely mash them through the corners. I'm much more scaled back with RWD, as I don't want to overestimate the abilities of the car and have the ass end come out on me in a corner. I was pushing 105 through Groat Road (hey, it was 2am with no traffic) and I wasn't even trying. The car wanted more. But I was too scared
As for pics... I don't really have any good ones. This is what I have:
The day I bought it
The engine
The engine bay
Dem hips
Factory HKS exhaust
Such nice lines....

Haha, yeah the car could definitely use a mild drop and a wider stance, but I'm leaving it for now. It's emptied my bank account enough, as-is. My issue with pushing the wheels out further is the increased likelihood of the paint getting beat up along the bottom of the car. It happened on the Miata also.

check kijiji for parting out TLs, I am sure there are some on there now since the car is getting to be a price of a civic. Or check car-parts.com
You could always call a few junk yards around town and ask them if they have something, a year ago there was more than a few TLs wrecked in Edmonton when I was thinking of fixing up a smashed one I found for dirt cheap.

TLX owners, any one want to buy my Bespoke carbon fiber mirror covers? I bought them but I realized I'm not into modding anymore. I'll let it go for 200$. Retail is 385$ plus shipping.

Hey guys and gals, just a quick introduction: I'm also in Edmonton, always been a Honda/Acura fan, my current vehicles are 2008 MDX and newly added 2014 RLX that was purchased for my wife to drive and me to maintain.... Lots of good info on this site.
At this moment I'm trying to get over the fact that dealer is asking almost a Grand for a spare tire kit. Any suggestions? Also, the touch up paint thingy that I just purchased from the dealer doesn't match very well with the actual car colour, is here a better alternative? The car has a few very small chips that I wouldn't mind to cover.

^Welcome! Which dealer did you ask for the spare kit? I think for my TLX, it is around 600$. As for the touch up pen, what paint code do you have?
Myron,
Hahahaha. Yea man, I just don't want to mod a daily driver. I might buy a crotch rocket next year depending on the budget for my weekend shenanigans. haha

The dealer that I went to see is west side Acura. The parts guy was kinda nice and even indicated that he can get me a deal for around $700 including the kit and the actual rubber tire. I did some checking on a web and found that the price for a kit is waaaay lower in US -$120-150.00 but the actual wheel cost is the same-$200 here and in US. So I'm thinking of ordering the kit from the states and buying the wheel here. But.... Dealers in the states don't want to ship it to Canada. The one dealer that I found so far asking $270 US for shipping. I will keep looking...

For your touch up paint try going to C-MAX which is also in west Edmonton. Give them your color code and they'll mix up a little bottle for you with your base and clear coat mixed together. The lid also acts as a paint brush, it's about $20 for everything.

Welcome! You try calling up Jasper Autoworks, the owner there was a top technician at West Side Acura for many years and directly gets parts from them for his shop. You should try calling him up, I'm sure he'll get you a better price.

Then I went to see Jasper Autoworks. He wasn't able yo offer me any better deal on a tire kit because it wasn't a part but an accessory... Never the less, I really liked the the place and the owner. It's a one man show, he has only been opened for a year. I got the oil change done on my MDX for a very reasonable price and didn't have to wait - in and out in 20 min. Very pleased with the service and personal touch of this place.
Will have to order the spare tire kit from US, found one dealer who is offering the kit without the rubber tire for just under $120 US plus $100 shipping. Still waaaay cheaper than here.

That is so true. I can't even justify buying high quality reverse LEDS from states. haha. I've always wanted a crotch rocket, nothing bigger than a 600. Everything is dangerous in Edmonton when it comes to being on the road! haha. Everyone cuts everyone like there is no tomorrow. Also, I've been told to get a crotch rocket now before getting settled just so the future so has no choice. )

Fucking exchange rate... I wanted to rebadge the 370 as a Fairlady... But the badge will cost me near $65 by the time it gets here... For something that costs $27 in the US

A bike on the highway can be a different story- especially if taking secondary highways where there is less police traffic and many many open roads. I remember riding around Pigeon lake, on the secondary highways... Now that was fun I almost became a victim of my own lack of skill too.

just an update: I did go to the C-Max and unfortunately they were not able to help me - I have a tri-color paint on my RLX... So basically it's like this : first layer is a white paint, second is the pearl coat and the last is a clear coat... They can't mix it and the only choice for me is to go to the body shop or dent shop....

If you plan on riding in the city, don't get a bike. Bikes are boring in town. You can take a corner at 70 in your car and it feels fun... At 90, you're still snoozing on a bike. The majority of collisions that occur are due to riders exceeding their own limits. Most crashes aren't even caused by other vehicles.
