Chemical Guys Cleaner/Air Freshener Quality - and a deal?
Hey all, was going to post this in the general car area rather than 3G, but figured the materials differ from car to car so I'd rather try here first.
Amazon has a deal going now on the following two products. If you clip the 25% off 'coupon', and then select subscribe&save (free shipping for products under $49 FSSS min, subscription can be canceled any time after first shipment), the prices look pretty appealing.
Chemical Guys AIR_101_16 New Car Smell Premium Air Freshener and Odor Eliminator (16 oz) - $5.68 before tax
Chemical Guys TVD_107_16 V.R.P. Vinyl, Rubber, and Plastic Super Shine Dressing (16 oz) - $6.35 before tax
I'm pretty sure the air freshener is just a matter of opinion whether you like the scent or not, doubt it would harm the car. But the dressing looks like it's good for tire rubber to interior 'other than leather' materials. Anyone try this with any level of success? People say since it has no silicon, it shouldn't damage plastics, etc. Anyone with any experience with these products in our 3G TLs?

Mods, I 'reported' the OP and requested this be moved to the 3G forum where I meant to post, sorry! If you can please move this thread, and delete this (second) post of mine. Thanks!

Also, this is 4G TL
Car Talk may be a better place for these sort of threads Air fresheners and shine dressing are typically universal

I know the product is for all cars, but wanted to see how materials used specifically in the 3G hold up with it. And the dressing is not a spray (apply to a towel and then rub on, not through spray nozzle) and specifically says it can be used in and out of car.

I can make a dupe thread in Car Talk if you think that's the best place for this to live on this site. Should I do that, or wait for a mod to move for me?

Thank you @Steven Bell and other mods for bringing this thread home.
Now to others viewing this thread - any feedback on the OP and outcome of using these particular products? I'm lucky enough to not yet have the dashboard crack that many other 3G drivers report, and think it may be related to how some other cleaning agents dry and stretch the material until it cracks. I more of dust the dash, or a quick wipe with a water-moist towel vs 'clean/polish' the dash, just to avoid the issue. Hoping to use an actual agent, maybe this is it?

Seconded for 303. I use that on all of the non-leather surfaces in my car.

Thanks guys. Interesting, I like that the 303 is:
- UV protectant
- Silicon free
- Non-greasy

For tireshine I use Griots long lasting tire shine...works great on all rubber/plastic surfaces and makes black pop.
