Late to this thread...
I am 33...
Got mine back in November 2003, one of the first the dealer got... (definitely the first 6MT)
I took close to one full year to research this purchase...
I went through all of the competition... (BMW, MB, Audi, Infiniti, Lexus, et al...)
Chose the Acura because of bang for the buck... (To get a comparably equipped Bimmer = 44K +)
Rating my baby.... let's see...
I am going to have to say a 9 out of 10....
Only because it's not a RWD or AWD...
The best vehicle I have ever purchased (cars, trucks, and motorcycles)

Keep Right Except to Pass
I am 31. Had a 1997 Accord EX Coupe that I loved, but got rear-ended on August 11 and the insurance company declared the car a total loss. Got my 2004 TL on August 20. Love it so far; this past weekend was the first road trip and it was terrific to drive.

37 yo I'd give it a 9 'cause wife can't drive a stick.
I'm coming off the SUV bus and got the TL for something w/ some sport and some class. Plus 28 miles each way for work and you need a little fun.
"bye the way, the car seats fit fine .. but absolutely no snacks!!!

25 with a 2004 Nighthawk Black TL, with Navi. Got it back in January. So far i'd give it a 10 out of 10 for cars i've owned (only other car was a civic), and a 9 out of 10 for cars i've driven.

23... first car bought under my name, with my own money... i'd give it a 8.5 out of 10. I'm scared to run over bumps with the car cuz i dont wanna tell myself the interior is weakly put together. hahaha But sure does have a lot more punch and goodies than my 98 prelude.

this is the colour my neighbours will turn!!!
54..... moving up from probably the BEST Mini-van (2002 Honda Odyssey EX-L) to our new baby... '04 NBP/Camel/Navi pack.
Pick the car up Monday.
BTW... my Honda dealer gave me a far better deal than ANY of the Acura dealers
were willing to/able to match.
It DOES pay to shop around.
(I will admit... it was the same gentleman who did the deal on the above noted Odyssey)
Now all I have to do is make it thru this weekend....

I am 24 and got it on 9/1/04. Had problems with the car on the first day...broken radio and broken auto open/close driver window. Service knew of the problem but didn't communicate it to my salesperson. Didn't even have it fixed before I picked it up. A hassle I tell ya. Going back and forth with the managers and customer relations. I just got my $200 cell phone bill today which i blame the dealer for. However all is fixed with the first week and i'm in love with my car....i guess i feel better now....Don't go to Open Road Acura in Wayne, NJ. I was belittled because of my age...didn't think I could afford or want the car.

Boy, I'll bet that TL-LUVR didn't have any idea that this thread would go on for a year!

First-time poster here. 28 and this my second Acura. First one was a 1995 Acura Integra GS-R that I just handed down to my younger brother. Absolutely no problems whatsoever with the GS-R. I take delivery of my TL in a few days! Almost went German this time but Honda/Acura reliability can't be beaten.

I wish I can agree on the reliability part, but welcome and enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1!
PS My first and last Acura.

The TL is an awesome
Bought the satin silver 2004 TL back in July, best vehicle I've ever purchased. Powerful, smooth and agile. Just one thing I do hate about it, once I lower the steering wheel where I like it, I can't see the speedometer. My coworker has a new 350Z and it has a second digital speedometer over near the radio, because his gets blocked out too when he lowers the wheel. I'm using the Bluetooth technology with a new cell phone I just bought, what a great option. I'm over my minutes because of it.

I'm 63 and I thought I was the oldest on the board until I saw Gene's post. It looks like most people on this board are in their 20's & 30's.
I love my '04 TL and would give it a 9.999 on a scale of 10. My only complaint about the car is that the seat belt clip is too far down by the seat & the center console. (Does anybody know of a way to extend it up so it is easier to reach? If so, please e-mail me at ldanver@starband.net)
