I can get 04 base wheels with blizzak tires for free off a buddy but Im not sure if they will fit my Type S because of the brembos?

yes. both the 04 base Wheels and the type-s wheels have the same specs.

they are both 17x8 +45

Also, my 2006 TL came with Brembo brakes. And my Stock wheels clear the brembos

Thanks good to know.
2nd would I be ok running the those wheels without a tpms? Other than a tpms light on the whole time?

our generation of TL's dont need TPMS to function.
you'll get a light on the dash, but that's about it.

the newer acura's are far more sensitive and needs TPMS or basic safety functions are lost.

The OEM Type S wheels look better. Let the '04 wheels be your Winter wheels.

Ha obviously. Yes I keep the type s wheels with the conti DWS tires on them for summer but use the 04 base wheels with blizzaks solely for winter. Bought anthracite metallic plastidip and glossifier to put on the 04 wheels before I toss them on. Should look decent and close to the color of my type s wheels.
