Am I getting shafted?
I brought my car in for a 4-wheel alignment that was on special for 60 bucks. A few hours later I get a call saying that my from camber is off by .79 and will require a sub frame shift, and by back camber is off by 1.49 and will require a rear cam kit. He quoted 80 for the part and an hour of labor for the front, hour for the back, total of 337, plus the 60 for the alignment. Thoughts???

Get a second opinion
I always get the lifetime alignment Firestone offers.
But one time I was out of my mind and thought about paying for a one time alignment at Dobbs Tire and Auto. This is for my wife's Camry. They told me I needed a kit and it would cost an additional X amount of dollars.
I came to my senses and decided to get a lifetime alignment at Firestone. When they checked it, they didn't need any extra parts to do the job.
I'm not sure what happened there, but the moral of the story is go get a second opinion.
And I don't think Dobbs charged me anything to check the alignment. I was getting a pair of tires from them. Maybe you can get a place to do it cheap or free. Checking the alignment seems like a really simple thing to do.
