Replica TL Type S Rims

Dont know how this works with quoting my own post, but just letting you know that i bought 2 regular 5 spoke TL wheels from Tabbaco Road Auto, says they are OEM referbished. When i called and asked about them being "real" Acura wheels the guy said they were and they they look like new (repainted/clear coated). Their warehouse is only a 30 min drive from my house but i could not pick them up due to them not having a sales floor. Anyway, when i get them ill post about whether they are real or not and the overall quality if anyone is interested.

Um, they are REAL ENKEI'S. Just got them today and that was the first thing I checked, because that is what they said they were, that is why I paid a little more ($10) and that is what I recieved. Fast shipping also, placed order by phone yesterday and recieved them today.

Got them yesterday, Unbelievable quick shipping. I got them under 30hrs but there's a wearhouse here in new York.. Quality is good not too heavy but the only thing I don't like is the color for me and my taste it's a little on the dark side but I'm gonna rock them on my car and maybe maybe down the road I'll use a palstidip true metallic to lighten them up but overall I'm happy. Paid $505 with shipping

The problem is integrity on a much smaller level.
What you should be worried about is if you hit a pot hole or accidentally hit a curb or maybe debris on the road you dont spot quick enough.
Cast wheels have different ways of being made. Some are far stronger than others. Price will directly reflect the process used.
If you dont hit any pot holes every you wont have a worry in the world.
But if tou do the wheel integrity may hit ita breaking point. When poor quality wheels break they fall apart. They crack and literally spokes and lips and sheer off. This can result in a bad accident.
Quality wheels will bend on impact because they have tolerance.
So just dont hit anything and pray no one ever hits you.

Here's my TL with the Tobacco Road ebay replica wheels. they look good and have held up great over the past year. I did purchase OEM type S center caps and they look great together. I also didnt have the funds for OEM wheels, but the color of the OEM was too light for Anthracite so i would have purchased these regardless. Also, Michigan has the worst roads in the country lol though I dodge every pothole I can i have hit some bumps and have had no issues with damage.

Link to get these for the best deal? This is somewhat off topic, but does anyone know how much I could get for my factory 5-spoke wheels only? They are pretty curbed on 2 of them, with the other 2 being a little better. $250 ish
Does anyone have a photo with a lowered TL on these wheels? I am wondering what a 1-1" drop looks like and what size spacers I would need to make the wheels perfectly flush with the fenders.

Hopefully have them by Tuesday and mounted up.
I destroyed a wheel last night WAY beyond even thinking about repairing and that just have me the push to order them (which I've been considering for a while now)

Your car looks great. It's hard to see the color of those replica wheels. It seems like they look darker in your pic. How much darker than stock waffle are they? I ask because I want to powder coat my Aspec wheels and run them on my Type S , but I want them closer to the color of the waffles (or darker). My car is CBP
Thanks
Thanks

DO. NOT. BUY. FAKE. WHEELS.
Have some dignity, and respect for your car, and buy real wheels. Even if you dont want to buy the OEM wheels, at least buy from a reputable company (Enkei,Volk, TSW, etc...).
