I just bought an 05 tl and I'm wanting to lower it on some 20" vossen cv3s but I don't know the offset needed. I don't know where to start to lower it, nor do I know the profile of tire I need. I want it the same as this one. Any advice will help. Thanks!
you can just look up "voseen cv3 TL" on youtube and the exact same car will show up, on different videos.. they are 19x10 and the offset offered on these wheels size are either +20 or +38, with these wheels the lower the offset the more concave theyll be.. i was thinking of doing the same set up but i like the CVTs more.. you might want to roll your fenders and 20s might be a bit too much, also they wont allow you to go as low unless you pull your fenders and tuck the tires.. as far a tires size goes you can run stretch tires or not, im running a 235/40 on my 10.5 rim... whatever you decide i wouldnt go lower than 40s on tires - less chances of bending/damaging your rim... do your reasearch, lowering a car, putting 20s, and vossen wheels arent generic to just TLs, its pretty easy and straight forward... just my 2cents im not an expert and everything i've learned was either by trail and error or advice from someone...
