Beefy Tire Setups, Show Us What You've Got!
Don't think there's a thread on AcuraZine for this so I figure I start one. Derived from this thread: http://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/8099...-tires-thread/
As the title says, show us your beefy tire setups!
I've done a slight stretch in the past and realized although the stretch setups look great when done right, it's not practical for everyone.
Hopefully in a few months I'll have some new tires in. But since I don't have a beefy setup yet I'll post a few pics of other cars to start it off.
Also, please post your tire/wheel specs if you can
Specs Unknown
Wheels are 18x10.5 +18 CE28-N's with 275/35/18 NT01's

Just figured I'd ask, what's the widest that works well on stock rims? I'm ran 275's on an 8" rim, 285's on a 8.5" rim and have 295/30/20's on my Impala now on a 9" wide rim, our stocks are 8" wide right? Anybody run 255+ on a stock rim?

265 has been done on stock 8" rims. Look up user "spiritman" .... something like that. His thread is "They Said It Couldn't Be Done" .... something like that anyhow.
And I think someone put 285 or 295 on the rears, but that wasn't stock rims .... 10.5", I think.

On A-Specs, not 17" stockies.

Finally a tire thread that doesn't make me want to puke. 255s on stock rims that I've owned with the Nittos being the best by far:
Nevermind, apparently my host site is changing owners. Got to find a new one.

I did roll and pull the fenders. After the winter I am going to do a bit more work To where the front bumper and fenders meet and probably pull the drivers side rear a little more.

I raised the car up a little to stop any rubbing. I did just order some 255's for the front so I can take it down a bit. When I first got my rims I was running 235's which didn't provide any protection to the rims. In 1 month I had about 10-15 rock chips on my rims... so, I went wider. And to be quite honest, I love the beefy tire look

Honestly, I'm not to sure what my camber is set at. I haven't gotten a realignment since I installed the Tein suspension. I will be getting my alignment done on Monday. I'll post up my printout when I get it.
My MPG is the same as it was before. As of right now, I am currently getting 30-31 HWY & 21-23 drinking on the upstate NY country roads. Either way, I feel so planted on the road when I am driving.

See? That's why they say "don't drink and drive".....lost 10mpg while drinking!

Food for though, 285s are built for a 10.5 wheel when you want the car to handle stiff.
