Yokohama ENVigors?
Hey guys
Looking at putting a new set of rubber on my 05 RL. I'm about to order a set of the Cont DWS when I seen the Yoko's.
Does anybody have these and how are they for an all-weather tire?
Thanks

That link is broken. I know cheaper Yokos are loud. A solid, soft tire but loud. I can't speak to this model, or any of the higher end Yokos, but I have put on quite a few YK420's on Legend #1. What did the tire rack reviews say?

As far as Acura reviews of this tire, they seem positive. People stated they were quieter and more responsive. No RL reviews though. My dealer warned against a directional tire, which these are, so I was looking for an RL specific review.

I just put on DWS. Soft and quiet are initial thoughts.

The tires do not rate only average in the snow, and that should be a consideration for you if you expect to use them in the snow.
I have had many Yokos over the years and am currently running Advan S4's in 255/40-19. They are not great in the snow, only adequate. I thought my Michelin PAX tires did a lot better in the snow. This has been consistent with my previous experience with Yokos on my other Legends, Yokos were always OK in the snow (except for the summer tires ), but not great. The better snow performance seemed to have really mediocre dry performance, all things considered. The Envigors are supposed to be just a notch below the S4's in winter performance, but better in noise and treadwear...but check out what the RDX boys say. I have not been there in a long while, so maybe they have new experiences after a winter or two.

I have ENVigors on 18" on my RL and 17" Bridgestone Serenity on OEM rims. Envigors are softer but louder than the OEM Michelins and the Serenities. Overall the Serenities are better in the snow.

That would make sense that the Serenity are better for noise, and maybe even snow because they are Grand Touring All Seasons, and not Ultra High Performance All Seasons...

go with pilot A/S still excellent , and I have had no problems in Cleveland snow. Improved, now with a mileage warranty. I personally am going to try the new General
AS-03, cheap and I only need 20-30k out of them since I probably will sell my 06 in the next 12-18months.

Here are my choices in order of preference. I've had all these brands and have been very happy with them:
1.Toyo Versados

2.Yokohama AVID ENVigor (H&V)

Drifting
One thing I've noticed about my Versados is they need to be inflated to at least 35psi to run semi-smoothly. If the psi dips below 32psi, my car rides like it has a mind of its own.
