Which struts for best ride quality? OEM?
Acura 2001 CLS with 155K on it. Stock shocks aren't blown out by any means but medium single hit bumps don't feel very good. smooth roads the stock (original) shocks feel great but chatter and decent size hits and they feel a bit clunky. I can't imagine the original oil inside of them is any good anymore.
I am more than capable at throwing this car through some backroad turns hard enough to make your stomache drop but honestly with a car this big and this old all it does it destroy the stock rubber suspension bushings, so I typically drive this car nicely and I value a nice solid compliant street ride.
I'm considering just getting some new OEM struts for about $90 each. I think they have some kind of progressive valving stock from Acura.
Anyone have a better recommendation? If I want better handling I figure I'll just throw on bigger sway bars.

The tokico blue struts for the 2nd Gen TL will fit the 03 CL correct?
I have Eibach springs on stock struts and I am at 161K. I have found some comptech springs and tokico struts for a good price. I am sure my stock struts are about shot and I need to get new struts or just go to coils. What would you guys recommend?

If you want a good daily driver coilover setup I would recommend the TEIN Street Basis.

depends what you're after. If you just want some new struts the blues will do fine, will be a little stiffer so i hear and have no dampening adjustment. You could sell the comptech springs and recoup a little $.
I'll be getting some koni yellows down the road. lifetime warranty, small height adjustments and full dampening.

I wasn't really interested in the springs, mostly the struts. A extra set of springs wouldn't hurt though. I have decided I am just going to get the TEIN SB coils. The wheels gap difference with the springs is getting annoying and Id rather be a little lower.

Bought a set of Koni Yellows from redline360.com I like how they dropped the car just a little for just a little than lower stock stance. They feel good but are a little harsh on small hard bumps. On high speed back roads they maintain their composure much better than stock. Ride is definitely firmer and more bouncy tho. Big improvement in handling, but a bit of a compromise in the quality of ride (if you like a luxury ride)

if your suspension is making noises, chances are it is end links and bushings, time to replace them

I Have owned many BMW cars over the years and bilstein is the best I have found for every application,
