Your preference, and why? Does your opinion change if the car will not be lowered?

I had 20s on my Infiniti and Audi and they looked great. I think on the TLX due to the size and scale of the car 20s might look too off, while 19s might be perfect look. Also since the TLX suspension is a little jittery I think the short sidewall on the 20s might make the ride suffer too much.

I'm in the process of buying new wheels/tires, and I think 19" is the better way to go. Firstly, 19" is still an OEM size. Also, @ 19" you'll be running 245-40 R19. A 40MM sidewall is pretty short as it is. If you go 20", you'll prob be running 35 or even 30. That's going to impact the ride quality as the TLX is a mild sports sedan, at best. (Not a sports car). Also, with a 20" wheel, you'll prob have a heavier wheel which equal more unsprung weight. Finally, unless you do a strict +1 you're speedometer may be off significantly.

I put my 19's on today - they look good, but part of me is regretting not going 20!

i have 20's and i can say that the ride is still great with them. on a 35 series tire too.
