Troubles of the lowly
Hey guys and gals
Thinking Id open a discussion about being stance'd in general because I'm running into issues I know people have had in the past.
First off, I'm in a quandary of what to do about my fender liners. Recently Had my fenders rolled and have driven to work a few times thats it and noticed the liner just kind of floating there and am thinking that its gonna give out soon, idk.
Another question I had was whats with the oem skid plate?
My car never had one so I assume that the previous owner had it removed or some shady oil service station my car went to never put it back on.
Have the k24 with the 6mt.
Third is ball joints and matience of the stock control arms and bushings and such. As far as I know my car is completely stock in this category so 90k on these rubber things. Live in the city now with the most potholes on the east coast and definitely feel it taking a toll on my car. Or maybe I'm paranoid.
Also just would like to talk about H20 coming up!
Seeing any cu2s in OCMD this year?

No experience to the fender liners feeling like they might fall off, I'm still 4x4 status, but there should be pop up clips/bumper plugs spaced periodically along the liner. See if you are missing any. It might just be the air draft catching the edges and making them flop around.

My car didn't come with the undercarriage tray either. Previous owner must have not cared when some oil change shop kept it. Ordered a new piece. It's actually the metal tray + plastic surrounding. Suppose to help with wind noise and I live in the great rust belt so I'll take any protection I can get.

You can do a visual on the control arms and bushings. They are wear and tear items. I see the 3rd gen TL guys talking about/replacing them all the time.

No car shows here. Car scene is noexistent unless you are one of the priviledged to own an exotic that shows up for Cars n Coffee, or are a young'n with their first car who sits at the local grocery store in the middle of town on Friday nights. It's too late for my old self, and cops have made it known that they are watching for gatherings and crowd.

fender liner is clipped in so don't worry about it not touching the fender since its rolled, it wont go anywhere. mine have been like that for over a year with a 13mm roll and pull on the fronts.
