2012 TL SH-AWD new tires soon
I'm beginning to research replacement tires for my SH-AWD. The stock michelins were never great, and now just over 37K miles they're not holding the road anywhere near what they used to. At my last oil change they said don't drive these tires in snow lol. I try not to anyway, they were horrible when they only had 50 miles on them...
So, looking at tire rack, I'm tempted to go with the Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Plus
The reviews are great. We had Pirelli's on our MDX for a short time before I traded in the car. They seemed like great tires. Anyone have any experience with these? I know a lot of folks like continental, and maybe they've gotten better but I had an 06 Avalon and a 00 Grand Prix with conti's and both sat horrible, always looked like flat spots.

I would avoid the Pirelli's as well. We've had extremely positive feedback from the Conti tires, particularly the extreme contact DWS and procontact.

I replaced the stock tires at 60K with those exact tires last fall and I really like them. They are a LOT quieter and did very well in the snow last winter. Much better than the factory Michelins. They do well in the wet too. I now have over 20K on them and they are still quiet excepts on the worst roads and grippy on the freeway ramps.
I run them at 35psi and rotate every other oil change (~12K miles).
I would buy them again.

I run Bridgestone Potenza S0-4 Pole Positions and they drive great but no mileage warranty. I had a FWD TL last summer with Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus tires and they were really quiet and comfortable plus 75k mileage warranty.

I have a 2012 TL SH-AWD with the Michelin OEM tires. About 32K miles
The ones up front are about 10k miles from the wear bar, the ones in back have many miles to go.
I suspect that this certified vehicle was upgraded by dealer by putting two new Mich's on the back, and moving the original backs, to the front.
So here is my question:
I think that the car as is handles pretty good, at least when I first bought in at 25k miles. In recent months, its not so quire rock stable in the rain, no doubt because the fronts are getting worn.
I would think it would be a logical move to buy 2x more of the OEM tires, and move the backs to front.? No brainer
However, are their tires that would run quiter than the Mich's? I love this car, but the cabin is not the quitest
Part B is can i mix a quieter tire on the back with the Mich's up front until I can get 4x "quiet" tire on board
Thanks

Check that BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 A/S 245/45ZR18 96W - Ultra High Performance All-Season Tire (38853)
I drive with those tires and not regret at all.The car is like glued on the road doesn't matter dry or wet

Always put the newer tires on the rear of the car and the older ones on front. You can certainly go ahead with the 2 tires at a time. If you go through discount tire's ebay store during holidays (like july 4th coming up), there is usually $50 off any purchase over $200 so you can save a bit more $.
