Hello everyone,

Just joined the forum after getting a 09 TL AWD, got some fantastic insight into the different setups on here already but wanted to ask something specific i have not been able to find here yet.

Just purchased the H&R springs that has the 1" drop front and rear and wanted to ask which shocks would be better in the long run, OEM or KYB GR-2. Getting both at about the same price so main thing i would like to find out is which would last longer/provide better quality ride etc.

Would love to get any feedback or suggestions on the option.

The KYB GR-2 gas shocks are not designed for any kind of drop in ride height. They are designed purely to be a oem replacement. With only a one inch drop, the oem shocks should last a good amount of miles. Neither are ideal for a lowering spring, but if it has to be between these two I'd probably stick with the oem shock.

Dope, thanks. Have always used bilsteins before with the drops but sucks that they dont make em for the awd.
