Buy a bottle plasti dip and spray your rims white. Worse thing that could happen is you hate them and peel them off.
Yea ima just test it! hopefully is dosnt look Too bad lol
I would like do some something diffrent, just no black rims for me. What other color do you guys think i should do?

Why not body color or close to it? My 99 is HMM and the wheels are that OEM silvery/white already, I just cleaned them up, and its a subtle accent that works nicely IMO

Well my 99 is silver and the rims are a light silver. I wanted something that would match with silver or a light color. Im just doing my homework and seeing what everyones opnions are before i actually do something.

More pics of everyones white wheels would be cool

LED eyebrows.......

Hmmm, not really overly noticeable. Thought that they might appear a bit out of place.

Outlining the headlamp may be too much, IMO.

Just a thought, maybe instead of having the LED's at the top......try them across the bottom only ??? IDK

I did dabble with the underneath idea, but found it interfered with the bumper clips upon reassembly lol but it could be worked around, no doubt

Yeah, sometimes modding isn't an easy thing to do.....but in the meantime, nice job with the LED brows.
How hard was it to actually do ?

Honestly, it was gravy to do since I was doing headlight bulbs at the time and had everything apart. Found the right circuit, routed the wires, ran the ground wires, and mounted the LEDs. Took longer to reassemble the everything than actually installing them.

So I've decided to go with the TSX wheels, H&R sport springs and Koni Yellow shocks for the look I'm going for with my WDP TL.

I've researched all about coilovers vs springs/shocks debate, but I've read quite a few who say this combo is quite similar in ride quality to stock which is what I like, just with better look and handling.

Glad to be a member, gotta get to 5 posts or so then I'll post a pic of the TL that I recently bought. It was a mint condition, not a wrinkle in the leather and everything under the hood is spotless. Garage kept by and older couple before j got my hands on it. A few weeks of diving it and I'm absolutely in love with this car.

First move though is the remanufactured TSX wheels and some good tires.

Yeah, thanks man !
I knew that it looked out of place compared to the other cars.

So, assuming that the '69 Chevelle is a project car.......does it have the SS 396 option ?
The only thing better with Chevelles is a '70 SS 454.......awesome muscle cars to restore.

Thanks for the wlecome.

I'm gonna post up a pic of it before, then hopefully by mid June or early July I'll have the wheels and tires on. And I'll post another of the after.

Then hopefully shocks and springs by Sept.

Got a big LBI bachelor party week in the beginning of May, so that's gonna eat a lot of my money until then.

Hope this works, but these are the only photos I have of my new baby right now. I'll post some better ones tomorrow. These are the before of course.

I guess it didn't work. I can't figure it out, I posted the pic links from my FB account because Photobucket and Flickr are too much of a pain.

The '69 SS 396 would bring ya some good money as it sits right now.
However, the Camaros of the '82 > '92 vintage are relatively plentiful and cheap to mod. The best bang for the buck are the newer '93 and up models with the 350/6 speed in the SS or Z28 models. Personally, I really like the '69 and '80-'81 Z28's. Good Luck !!!

Paint the centercaps, tint it, clear the headlights, swap in some 01-03 taillights, and just keep her clean, subtle, and strong!!

The thread is about tsx wheels on 2g tl's..... The title at the top of the thread (where you clicked to investigate) should have told you...

looks good but will flow much better once you paint the center caps white. but silver on white is a good combo.

Personally, I prefer the original color or perhaps a darker gunmetal shade, but to each his own !!!

I was thinking gunmetal also. Once the plasti dip starts to look worn out ill probably go gunmetal. The orginal finish on the tsx rims are all scratched up, so i would like to keep them painted, untill i find a permanent color for them..

A couple things. According too one of the plasti-dip videos any overspray on the tires itself can easily be removed. A black center cap with black wheel lugs might offset the white. Gunmetal isn`t a bad choice.

i noticed the over spray came right off after a good car wash. So your saying to paint the lugnuts also?
i thought it would look a little weird with painted lugnuts, should i paint the lugs? but the center caps ARE going to be painted lol I just wanted to see how it would look. so far the paint is holding up well with the heavy rain and mud! hopefully the white dosnt turn yellow?

The forum has tons of available info available from previous posted threads, so don't forget to occasionally "search" a particular problem or possible concern. Our 2nd Gen TL's are getting rather old and most everything has been covered at one point or another in the past. This site will make life easier and maintaining your TL less expensive by utilizing the vast experience within.
