I think the TL doesn't show its age because their owners love them so much. I have had mine for four years and I still stare at it after giving it a wash and wax.

22K is very low.

And i agree with the design...part of the reason why I bought another 3G.

I wanted to know if you were on any type of suspension upgrade? If so, what? I ask because I want to upgrade my wheels and tires but I want to know if I can get it to look similar . It's really sick bro

I had some young guys (21-25 years old) comment this week on how good looking my Type S is.

Timeless design.

On the other end of the spectrum, an older guy asked..." This a 1995 right? I had the exact same one!"

Today I drove my ex-06' TL (my daughter's now) to get it inspected and it drives great. Almost 10 years and still in love with the looks. BTW, I don't take care of it but it stays beautiful.

i just recently purchased an 08 TL with only 52k on it, and flawless interior/exterior, etc. Of course within three months, someone has backed into my rear bumper to leave a quarter sized dent, but it's still one of the best looking cars I've seen. Loving my TL and it's perfect aging. If only women aged so well..

Because

It's an amazing car. I just bought mine and I love it. I have been looking at the TL for years, my wife and I both love them. Then they changed the body style (4th gen) and I was sad because it does not look as good and the 3G at all. So I specifically sought out the 3G because it is such a good looking car, it meets my horsepower requirements, and it meets my wife's luxury requirements. It's pretty much a perfect car. While I would have preferred a Type-S with a MT, I have to compromise, and I couldn't pass up on my car with only 45k miles. Even without the spoiler it is still a sexy car, and I think one of the best looking cars on the road.

Love this thread. My car's about 7 years old now and I always have people asking me "what kinda car is that? I love it." Truly timeless design. Still turn back and look every time I park.

In my opinion, the design of the headlights play a big part of it too. I saw an 04 parked in front of a convenience store the other day, and the sun was shining on them from the side just right to make it look even better than they normally do. They way they flow with the lines of the car also help.

The front end also has that mean look where the headlights seem like they are giving the angry look...a look other manufacturers having been doing lately, namely the latest 3 series BMW.

I think this car is the NSX of our era.

The tl still looks good in 2016,sometimes when coming out of a store I just stare at mine and think this car doesn't look like it was built in 04.

I always get people complementing and asking what kind of car it is. They are shocked when I tell them its a stock 08 TL-S. I can't imagine how much attention it will attract once I start adding more mods

Lol, I had an older gentleman come up to me back in 2011 and ask if it was a 2001 model.

I did the same, but it's a "caliper" badge, not an "A".

Nothing but compliments this weekend. Of course a fresh wax job was probably the catalyst for all that but still...

One older lady was like.."that's your baby huh..". I laughed, she laughed.

My 2006 is a garage queen!

Put it away for the winter. Still no problems or codes of any kinATFd. I did the 3x flush of the transmission with Valvoline synthetic. Trans functions perfectly, but with only 28k on the odometer it should.

I’ve actually owned all three and loved them all, but it’s the TL that’s bringing my back. Just bought an ‘07 Type-S 6MT! Now I’ve got to be patient while it ships from Massachusetts!
