I'm looking to buy an 07 or 08 Type-S & have begun to narrow the field down. ..hoping to have it in my garage by the first of the year. Of the option grids I'm considering is a slightly higher mileage car -say in the 120k'ish range- that's had its major service (tbelt, water pump, etc.) done vs. one in the 80k or 90k range that hasn't. Meaning that'll be on my dime soon enough. When is the first one due? I'm assuming at or around 100,000 miles? Also, what's the expected $ out-of-pocket for that service?

Most say the MID will come on @ 105k miles and the cost varies greatly, if done by yourself timing belt, pulleys, tensioner, plugs, @ $200/$250, garage $600/$1100.
Just make certain that if you're looking at one with higher mileage, make certain one can prove that the "belt" has been changed.

If you buy a higher mileage TL make sure the owner has paper work to like part receipts or dealer receipts of the work being done. FIY the dealer cost for TB/WP is around $1200.
