There is DIYs here with the tools you will need. but in general a drill, cant remember bit size, Philips & flat tip screwdrivers, stubby Philips, 10mm deep socket maybe a 12mm also cant remember. 3m double sided tape. There is prob a few more things.

here is your link https://acurazine.com/forums/showpos...96&postcount=1
You also might want to pick up some of those plastic bumper fasteners in case you get frustrated and break a few, the white clips on the side skirts break sometimes too if they are brittle.

Google is an amazing thing

To save you some time, from what I've searched and read, you'll need at least a 2007-2008 Base front bumper to make the Type-S front. Here's a DIY for that:

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/how-front-type-s-aspec-base-07-08-bumper-835689/

Edit:

Looks like this guy mounted a Type-S front lip on a 04-06 bumper. You might want to PM him.

3G Garage worthy?
So what modification is needed for the type S front A-spec lip to fit the 04 base?

is it the camera angle that made the 08 base a little bit smaller?

Base model A Spec concerns

So is there a different between the 04-06 base model front a spec lip prior to the 07-08 front a spec lip? I seen the front lip on on a few 07-08 models and it looks somewhat different and better to me so i just wanted to make sure. If so, what kinda modifications will I need to do to make the 07-08 base a spec kit fit?

You're welcome! Yes, it appears you have the Type-S front bumper, so you can get the Type-S lip!

Awesome info guys.. Still wish we had more variety of lips to choose from though. Not talking about the nasty "Mugen" front lip on eBay either

I know this is about to make me sound like the dumbest person ever. I just bought my '07 TL Type S last Saturday. It was not listed as having the A Spec on it and I even looked at the original sticker and it didn't say that it had the A Spec package on, so that obviously means that it was added on at some point but I do not know when. My question is does this add any value to the car or since it didn't come from the factory as A Spec, does it just add the aesthetic value to it? If it does add value money wise, how much value would it add to the book value?

It would add a little bit of value to the car when resell time comes around. I'd imagine that you would get more money out of it when selling to a person instead of a dealer. You could probably ask for about $300-500 more since it has the lip kit. Do you have the A-Spec suspension as well? If so, you may could get even more out of it.

Well, on the struts, their should be a part number. If you can jot that part number down and look it up in google, that should tell you if it's a-spec or not. Or take a tape measure and measure from the ground to the bottom of the fender and report back here with what you got.

the 07-08 Base A-spec front lip barely makes the front look lower. Just makes the lower part look more bulky IMO.

The Type-S rear bumper with no lip looks the best!
