The plug isn't the same, but it fits with very little force.

I was worried, at first also.
But then I told myself people have been doing it for years now, and not ONE reported to break anything when plugging the connector in.

if you get the depo ones they are plug and play. You might need to slim down the foam padding it comes with so they fit nicely.. Do not force them in take your time so you dont bent or dent the area around the light.

Are dealers willing to sell type-s sidemarkers to be used on non type-s cars? If so, are those side markers a lot more expensive than the base ones? Base ones go for around 70$ or something if i recall.

Yeah for sure! I'm gonna get around to coming over to Ottawa soon I hope. It's definitely going to be on a wednesday because it's my only day off. This week im taking care of those waffles though so the week after?

What do you need from honda? I have to go pick up some stuff too (namely the accord switch) so 2 birds one stone

Do it, man. It's a nice way to change up the look of your car. I honestly am a fan of both styles- I like the red and the smoked versions.

For the record, I bought the Depo ones and the plug was exactly the same. Took 3 or 4 minutes to change both.

As GP16 wrote, like a few things unwilling to fit in life, you just have to use a bit of force.

I kid I kid.

I got them in... but 1 doesn't fit flush.. it has a gap where I can pull on it... any ideas why.... also I broke 2 clips that hold the liner.. and I can't screw in 2 of the cargo screws... smh.. reasons why I don't do stuff myself.. but at least they are in...

^weird why one doesn't sit flush.

Maybe try removing it, by pushing from inside towards outside, and then use even pressure pushing from outside in.? It's been so long since I installed them (don't recall any problems). But if I remember correctly there are two points where it needs to "clip in", and maybe a little more force will help it. ?

I'll look at it again.. I got more frustrated that I couldn't screw back in 2 of the cargo hooks... I'm OCD about that kinda stuff....

I am not that handy on working on cars and I installed them myself in less than 10 minutes.

Oh its in... just not flush.. I think it's bent.. because when I press the corner.. it will straighten.. but then it goes back up slightly... I might just buy 1 new one from the dealer... or maybe I'll forget about it in a week.. lol

This may need to be my next mod. The base red looks nice, but I think the Type S ones would look better, especially on my CBP
